Music at the Museum Series -- Back by Popular Demand
Now in its third season, this wildly popular series integrates chamber music, celebrity speakers and guest artists to forge new connections between music and art. Since its successful debut at the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore in 2004, which featured a complete season of sold-out performances, the series has been expanded for the current season, and is expected to remain a popular favorite for audiences.
Music at the Museum represents a unique partnership between the Poulenc Trio and some the world's great museums, including the Baltimore Art Museum, Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University and the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC. Each concert in the Music at the Museum Series is carefully designed with museum staff to highlight and promote a current exhibit or historical artistic concept. The concerts are fun, informative and thought-provoking, with a proven appeal to museum members, potential sponsors and non-traditional museum audiences.
